We seek individuals passionate about solving technical challenges and enabling customers, with deep experience in Linux and open-source environments. We are hiring a Cloud Support Engineer to join our Cloud Support Core team, supporting our second shift from 4pm-12am EST (1:30AM-9:30AM IST | 1:00AM-9:00AM PKT). Reporting to the Manager of Cloud Support, you’ll be responsible for connecting customers worldwide with the resources they need to fully leverage our platform and advocating for their needs. This role involves direct support for our Droplets and related networking and storage features on our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding promptly to a high volume of technical tickets from customers.
- Demonstrating working knowledge of Cloud Services, Networking, and Storage concepts.
- Delivering exceptional support for Compute, Network, and Storage Products such as Droplet, Load Balancer, DNS, Block, and Object Storage.
- Collaborating both independently and with our support, product, and engineering teams.
- Identifying, communicating, and documenting process and policy enhancements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactivity in team collaboration and customer support advocacy.
- Proficiency with Linux and tools like Cpanel, WordPress, node.js, and hands-on experience troubleshooting web hosting errors.
- Basic understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud APIs, scripting, Docker, and containerization.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP.
- Solid grasp of Linux fundamentals and networking protocols like HTTP, DNS, & TLS.
- Understanding of the OSI model, public & private IPs.
- Experience troubleshooting Networks & Storage (cURL, traceroute, dig, DNS, CORs or related).
- Linux certifications are highly desirable.
