Job Summary
NetApp’s Engineering Tools and Services (ETS) division is responsible for automating and supporting the infrastructure used by our product development and QA teams. We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our global team, which manages highly available internal services essential for maintaining product quality and delivery. Ideal candidates should possess core Systems and Software Engineering skills, along with an understanding of how SRE principles can enhance service availability.
Job Requirements
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments
- Proficiency in programming languages: Python, Go, Perl, Java, C, C++ (shell scripting is a plus)
- Incident response: Quickly address service outages and provide detailed root cause analysis
- Basic knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
- Monitoring and alerting: Contribute to and improve our monitoring strategy to reduce MTTR
- Service reliability: Enforce SLOs and monitor/create SLIs
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Experience with source code management tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, Perforce)
- Comfortable with interrupt-driven workflows
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience is required. We also seek candidates pursuing a Master’s degree in related fields.
