Role and Responsibilities
The Data & AI division at India Software Labs is on the lookout for passionate and skilled software developers. Our product range includes cutting-edge solutions like WatsonX, Cloud Pak for Data/Integration, DB2, OpenPages, SPSS Analytics, Information Governance, Netezza, among others. As a Software Developer at IBM, you’ll be instrumental in designing, coding, testing, and delivering solutions that keep the world moving—ensuring planes and trains run on time, bank transactions happen in an instant, and maintaining global safety. Your work will involve using the latest software development tools and methodologies, and collaborating with top experts in the field to create solutions that will make a difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain database features within our products, services, and tools to provide a secure environment for cloud-based customers.
- Evaluate new technologies and processes to enhance our service offerings.
- Document your experiences and mentor others in the team.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C, C++, Go, or Scala.
- Strong problem-solving and resolution skills.
- Familiarity with best practices in software design, development, and testing.
- Knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., Db2, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes frameworks.
- Familiarity with Cloud Services (IBM Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure).
- Knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with Shell scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, or Ruby.
